The Mad Minstrel

The state of the world is not something I often lend commentary to, though sometimes I just can’t help it.

Rant:

It is an idiot’s world, for the undereducated tavern-dwellers far outnumber the poets and philosophers. It has always been this way and it will always be this way. Though, ne’er has it been so apparent, because the great thinkers have been replaced as the guiding light of humanity. They’ve been pushed aside by the incoherent ramblings of the self-proclaimed monarchs, for the sake of entertainment to those Neanderthalic flat-worlders who brought them to power.

While I am deeply troubled by these times, I find comfort in looking back.

History is littered with fallen dictators, rulers, and aggressors so fearsome that people thought the world would never right itself again.

So, dear reader, patient student, and child of peace; the technology and weapons available today may give rise to new fears but I say to you-

Stand up for your convictions, vote.

Speak out against tyranny,

and be patient.

No matter what happens today, the world will right itself again.
